Racheal is a Solicitor within the Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury Departments. She joined the firm in 2015 having graduated with a Master’s Degree in Law from Northumbria University, Newcastle.
Having completed her training contract with the firm Racheal qualified as a solicitor in July 2017. Since that time she has assisted our head of department, Robert Johnson, on cases of significant value and complexity and has managed her own case load of personal Injury and civil and commercial litigation matters.
Racheal advises clients on many areas and has a particular interest in the following areas of practise: -
Landlord and Tenant Disputes – Racheal has developed a significant practise advising landlords of residential property, in relation to problem tenants and, in particular when carrying out eviction proceedings. She regularly represents landlords from serving notices on the tenant to attending Court and instructing bailiffs on behalf of the landlord. She also advises commercial landlords and tenants in relation to various types of disputes, from lease renewals to dilapidations disputes.
Wills and Probate disputes – This area is of considerable interest to Racheal and forms a significant proportion of her practise. She has assisted in various complexed estate disputes, and has resolved claims pursued and Defended under the Inheritance (Provision for family and Dependants) Act 1975, breach and Trust and lack capacity. She has managed such cases from taking initial instructions to trial, achieving outstanding results for her clients’.
Personal Injury – Whilst managing a busy general practise of Civil and Commercial litigation cases, Racheal also represents claimants whom have suffered injuries. These may be as a result of accidents at work, Occupiers liability claims, accidents abroad or Road traffic accidents.
